In London the driver was not at the designated pick up location at 11:00 p.m. Very recently we had several pick ups arranged in London and Paris. They were always there at the airport waiting which was important since my daughter and I were traveling alone, sometimes arriving late at night. “Prior to covid we used Hoppa many times while traveling in Europe. PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY AT ANY COST if they do not have people to con they will cease to operate….BEWAREĪngela and Paul Sale (staying in Rome at the time) ” This is one expensive transfer company who in my opinion are operating illegally and using “sharp practice” to swindle people out of their hard earned money. I requested a 50% refund extremely fair in the circumstances as we had to arrange alternative transfer back to the airport at our own expense. Hoppa then emailed us and said they couldn’t supply a driver and suggested we make alternative arrangements for our transfer to the airport. And as anyone who flies regularly will know transfer companies normally like to take you to the airport up to 3 hours before your flight departure. This was despite them requesting the flight times from us weeks earlier. They did get back with an email from the partner saying they were unable to pick us up any earlier. They said they would get back to me by email. ![]() I had terrible trouble getting through to Hoppa but I did eventually get to chat with an agent online. HOWEVER, the time was virtually the same time as the flight!!!. Unbelievably the day before we were returning to the UK they gave us a time for pick up to take us to the airport to meet our return flight. On 28th September 2022 we were met by a reasonably smart looking driver who drove us from the airport to our hotel on the outskirts of Rome in a smart reasonably new E class Mercedes. “On the 11 September 2022 I paid £111.23 to for a return transfer from Ciampino Airport to our Hotel in Italy. You’re paying to be stood up and pay triple!! Don’t waste your time!!! ” ![]() Don’t be fooled with their affordable transfer prices. They may have a little success in turning up for some clients BUT their reliability rate for a majority of bookings is abysmal. Please do not be like me upset, angry and stranded! DO NOT BOOK WITH THEM. 1 month later they promised to get back to me but have not attempted to, but I’m not shocked I was warned by the reviews on here. Absolute Nonsense!! They are horrible and con artist. They state they have a 14 day policy and of course they rejected my complaint 15 days later, stating that a make believe taxi attempted to call me, but got no response. I have been in contact with Hoppa about this since the 24th October 2022, but after reading reviews from when I arrived at my hotel I knew I was wasting my time. This was emotional and ruined my first 24 hours in Istanbul. ![]() After 2 hours of not getting anywhere and standing in a practically empty airport I had to resort to using the airport EXPENSIVE taxi service. I tried calling Hoppa various ways at the airport, knowing that I was going to be charged a lot of money from my mobile company to receive brick walls. My flight was slightly delayed, however there is no excuse for the transfer service who was supposed to pick up not to have arrived! I was left alone, stranded, afraid in a 99% non- speaking airport with no one to help. “- Unfortunately I have to write this review to inform people who are expecting to receive a trustworthy service from a reputable company, to book elsewhere! I was a lone single woman, who arrived at an Istanbul airport at 10 pm. Your money disappears, they don't care and then you get threatening emails. I then receive an email telling me i didn't turn up for the journey back to the airport and if i don't respond within 72 hours i cannot make any complaints going forward.ĭO NOT book with them at all, especially if you would like to speak to someone in case flight cancellations etc happen. The driver also turned up at the hotel - clearly the company did not contact him - why do we bother giving this company flight details if they don't bother following the flights. I have sent them emails asking for help and all i have received is them not taking any responsibility for not being able to contact them. Our flight got cancelled which obviously happens less than 24hours before you fly - couldn't get hold of anyone to talk too - tried the whatsapp it was useless, sent an email which says they will contact you within 24hours. “I booked the hoppa for a recent trip to Portugal - the transfer from airport was fine but then came the drama with this company.
